I understand the concept of equality, while you clearly cannot grasp the concept of a law based on personal safety vs a law based on equality.

Have you lot got timeshare options on boltkunt's braincell at the moment or something?

It's OK, I understand that the concept of equality may be a bit of a stretch..

Possibly the thickest comment on here so far. Well done bungo.

Re: Anti-cyclist nazis
In the interests of equality, I assume this new law will also mean that if I am stationary in my car at some traffic lights, then cyclists will not be able to pull up within 1.5m of me, and not surround my car like a swarm of wasps as they currently do?

Twats on bikes
Twats in cars
Twats everywhere

Generally twats in cars are more dangerous than those on bikes though.

Re: Anti-cyclist nazis
There are loads of cyclists that are twats, particularly, those who ignore red lights etc.

However, I see far more twats on motorbikes and in cars, the latter for whom red lights no longer mean STOP.

I can't see how the 1.5 metre distance could possibly be enforced. There are few police on the roads and even if an officer of the law was to say you were less than that distance away and you denied this, even with video evidence, it could be difficult to prove. I don't see many prosecutions.

THE front wheel?

Is your car a Reliant Robin?

Well, then probably instead of, 'no parking problems', you should have posted, 'no parking problems for me because I don't park it anywhere'.

Engelbert sang a lovely song in praise of cycling. Les bicyclettes de Belsize.
No road rage in those days.

Surface my bike is now locked up at Upminster station as I'm on way to match, have you seen the traffic around there on a Saturday.....As l said no problem parking and no cost either...ps l don't work in an office or cycle to work

Re: Anti-cyclist nazis
My bike comes into the office with me as there's a bike rack in the middle of it.

Did cost more than the car I had when I bought it though. No idea why that might be something to object to though.

'no parking problems'

Really?

I rarely have to take the front wheel off my car and take it with me to work while my car is chained up to a rail like a 3 legged horse.

Re: Anti-cyclist nazis
stewie Griffin don't understand your comment on the cost of bike being same as car...... Running costs on a bike much less, no parking problems, more environmentally friendly, regular exercise and more enjoyable than sitting in traffic... I bought my first ever road bike in February for grand, l am a cunt but not for the bike purchase

According to my mate at work, who is an acclomplished cyclist and triathlete, the greater wheeze for you push iron types, are the lemons that tip up in a King of the Mountain shirt and proceed to spit and fart over a speed bump

Not sure that it's a lack of imagination?

More like a complete lack of interest in obscure details which are of no consequence.

No problem with cyclists.... as long as they don't get in the way.
Ie don't block the road.
